Rainbow Moonstone - Gemsona

The sublime Deer-Head graciously allowed me to participate in their gemsona collaboration, so I worked hard to try and make something presentable. Say hello to Rainbow Moonstone! The colors scanned in a little washed out, but what else is new? My scanner is so unreliable when it comes to scanning watercolor.

I won't bore you with too many details about this gem other than a brief description. They are a Homeworld gem on a team of highly-specialized rejects. They've never seen combat, but help Homeworld in other ways. Rainbow Moonstone, for example, is highly skilled at intercepting, deflecting, and interfering with transmission signals. They can also camouflage ships by using their gem to run interference with enemy radar. They are the strongest member of their squad, but still very slow and weak. I have a longer story worked out between this gem, another two gems, and a few gems belonging to friends, but that's a long-ass story and if I ever tell it I'd rather draw it. I might upload some other designs sometime, though.
